Since I was a kid, I've had an overdose of lace. My mom stitches her own clothes and lace is her favourite embellishment. I honestly believe she would stitch lace on the sofas and curtains if she could. Cotton, nylon, tatting, wide, narrow, different colours, sequinned, I've seen them all. We've even purchased lace from a shop in Iraq where they sell it by the kilo. So I'm not too fond of it. I always feel like it's way too girly for me. Which is why I like this black lace top. The black colour takes away the girliness and since it's a top it's not too overwhelming. I fierced up the look by adding my chunky boots... which are made of lace. Maybe I'm coming around to lace after all.

ReplyDeletehmm.. Looking over in my cupbaord, yeah there's a lotta lace in it... I kinda like lace especially if its got a nice design. I think it kinda adds a formal/detail-oriented ( I am hunting for the word but failing miserably) touch to the outfit. But that's just me :)
