If you've been wondering where I've been the past 2 weeks, well, I was busy training to become a
BODYCOMBAT™ instructor. I've been doing BODYCOMBAT™ classes for the last 4 years and thought it's time I started teaching it. {If you'd read my About Me & Silver Kick page you'd already know about my love for BODYCOMBAT™ instead of looking so surprised. Shame on you!}. To become a BODYCOMBAT™ instructor, I had to do a G.E.L course first. G.E.L stands for Group Exercise Leader. I did the 3 day course in Dubai with 14 others who flew in from all over the world, including Iran!
There were 15 of us. Karen Gunning was our trainer. {on the right, in black.}
Just the ladies.
Just me. ;)
I passed with 90% marks {yes, there's a score} in the G.E.L Exam. Woohoo!
My reward for 3 days of training- the BF Monster from Burger Fuel. I took my time but I finished it. Never underestimate me.
And the next weekend {last weekend} I attended the BODYCOMBAT™ training module. Thank goodness there were just 4 of us or we'd be deader than we ended up after!
On stage.
Our notes.
The 4 of us with our trainer, Steph. {middle}.
This was T-O-U-G-H. Three days and almost 6 hours of boxing, kicking, Karate, Muay Thai, drills, technique lessons, oooofffffff! I think I must've done about 3,000 hooks and uppercuts. But our trainer was amazing and a half, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment. And, I passed. WOOHOO! This means that now I'm qualified to team teach the classes, but not teach the classes on my own yet. For that I need to pass another assessment from New Zealand. I'm not going to bore you with the details but I'm just gonna say I'm crazy happy right now and looking forward to unleashing the warrior within!
Congratulations on making one of your dreams come true!! You are an inspiration! <3
