There's just something about a well-tailored shirt and well-fitting pants that make you feel in-charge and ready to attack a new work week. And if it's in neutral colors of black and gray, it packs even more of a professional punch. I have a thing for satin shirts.I love how the softness and shine of the material make even a traditional masculine collared button-down shirt look feminine. To it I added these black skinny formal pants from Zara. These pants are amazing! They have the perfect amount of stretch, sit slightly lower at the waist, and are very comfortable to move around in. I kept the jewelry simple with a cute heart-shaped pendant, blue stone ring and a statement watch. And of course, with all the gray and black, I had to have color somewhere. Which is where this soft pink bag came in. On my feet I wore pointy black pumps for the ultimate sharp finish to a very corporate outfit. Lastly, I grabbed my black pea coat to stay warm. With its simple structure, clean lines and big collar, it's tres work-appropriate, and goes with the pants beautifully. And there you have it, all ready for business!
In other news, this is looking like a very, very busy week as well with meetings, shoots, ministry visits, and more business stuff to be done. My head is spinning with all the work I need to do and I'm just keeping myself sane by making lots of to-do lists and ticking things off one-by-one. And by drinking endless cups of tea! Thankfully, I have a class to teach every night which really helps me unwind and let go of the day's stress.
Until next time, stay happy and don't forget to follow me on instagram @TheSilverKickDiaries to keep up with my chaos!
