I'm sure you've been seeing this top everywhere. I've seen it on SO many bloggers, as well as on Olivia Palermo. You must have probably seen them all wearing it off-shoulder. I'm not a big fan of the off-shoulder trend. Done right it looks elegant but done wrong it can look like you're showing too much skin. Plus I have wide shoulders and an off-shoulder top only makes them look wider. So I wore it with the shoulders up, like a boat neck. It looked a little plain when I got it, so I decided to add some pretty pink and white crochet lace to it. {I lurrrve the gradient shades of this lace.} I'm such a sucker for pink and gray combos. I wore this super-comfy and summery blouse with blue skinny jeans, pearl earrings, and silver metallic heels. A big-dial statement watch makes this casual look a bit serious, and I finished with a pink clutch for some color.
My favorite part about this top is the sleeves. I love the little tie-ends that look so playful and pretty at the same time. I'm loving the entire trend of different sleeves in fashion right now- bell sleeves, fluted sleeves, ruffle sleeves, batwing sleeves, angel sleeves, and so on. I love how just the sleeves can add elegance, glamour, or drama to a shirt or dress. I can't wait to show you what I mean. Also, if you're a lace lover, watch this space...
Until next time, xoxo
