As I was mentioning in this last post, layering in winter is so much fun. And the most classic layering is a shirt + pullover combo, with the collar of your button-down peeking through the jumper. It's a very preppy, androgynous look that looks chic and screams professional. It's one of my favorite winter looks for the office for sure. Here I chose to stick to warm winter shades like olive green and russet. I love the combination of these two colors. It's a warmer, muted variation of green and pink. I wore a white shirt under as white is a nice bright shade that pops with both the green and russet. This pullover is a slightly chunky knit so it feels fluffy and warm. A pretty floral necklace adds a girly touch, and a stacked ring and a menswear watch complete the accessories. Since these booties are low-cut, I turned up the cuffs of my jeans to show them off some more.
It's been raining non-stop for the last week and I'm loving it. I'm not loving the mud and puddles everywhere, obviously, but the rain, the clouds and the sky are pretty damn beautiful. We get this type of weather for such a short period of time that I can't help but enjoy it. It's the perfect weather for staying snug indoors with a hot drink and a book, and watching the rain through your window.
Until next time,
xoxo
