Violet and Laser Cutouts, and so long, April!

Okay though seriously, you get some GREAT finds at a few select fashion stores at Dragon City in Diyar Al Muharraq. Take this skirt for example. It's from a tiny Korean fashion store called Vishine next to Gate 8. It's made from a scuba-like spongy material, with laser cutouts in the shape of flowers at the hem. The thickness of the material means that it flares out beautifully, and feels all soft and lovely against the skin. It was available in black, forest green and burgundy. I picked the green as I haven't had this color in a skirt before, and it's such a gorgeous inky, deep green.

Summer was making it's presence known so I put together a simple, summery outfit by pairing the skirt with a pale violet short-sleeve t-shirt and strappy sandals. Since both my top and bottom are plain, solid colors, I added detail with a stacked necklace. My father gifted me this pretty piece {I always love his taste in jewelry}. I love the intricate work on each leaf pod and that the necklace is stacked, which gives it that glam factor. A simple cuff and a statement watch completed the accessories, and I finished with my tan satchel bag.

We're at the end of April and sometimes I can't believe it. Not because time is going past quickly, but just how LONG this month has felt! {Give me a shout if you feel me. And yes, the pun in the headline is intended}. I feel like I've done SO much this month, in terms of work, classes, socializing, everything! But although it has felt draining at times, I've never felt happier. I guess when you're busy doing the things you love, you're happy even when it exhausts you.
