My 2016 Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is around the corner {yay!} and that makes me very happy. It's the one day out of 365 which I can call my own and I feel special and glowy and elated all day long. Another thing that makes me happy is making a birthday wishlist. It's just so much fun! Gathering all the photos, finding out where items can be purchased from, browsing through all the other stuff on Amazon, Etsy, etc., heck, even just looking at the photos of things I want makes me feel good. And it doesn't matter if I don't get everything on my wishlist, {I'll probably end up buying most things myself. Hehe} it's just a fun thing to do before your birthday.

So here's what I want {and need!} this year:

Happy things I want to do more of in 2013

  1. Explore more of this beautiful island.
  2. Wear more red.
  3. Spend more time laughing at silly things.
  4. Take long drives with my thoughts and music.
  5. Buy more books, clothes, shoes, accessories and handbags. What can I say, I'm a material girl. ;)
  6. Travel. Lots.
  7. Eat out more with family and friends. {I'm a very healthy eater so I tend to shun most restaurants but I think I'm going to change that this year. The eating out part, not the healthy part!}
  8. Sleep!
  9. Watch more rom-coms.
  10. Do what I want to no matter what my loved ones think. {Trust me, this last one is difficult but I'm learning to do it.}

2012 Birthday Wish List!

2012 Birthday Wish List!

Only a month left for my birthday. The thought makes me cringe and also makes me happy. Cringe because I turn a year older, and happy because it's one day out of 365 (366 this year!) that I can say really is mine. And of course, it's one day where I can behave like a total diva and get away with it. (Not that I don't behave like a diva on other days and get away with it. But hey, I'm still lovable, so that's okay.) 

Like last year, here's a wish list of what I'd like for my birthday. And no, I don't care if you think I'm a Material Girl. (Which by the way, I totally am. We live in a material world, so stop judging already.) Wishes are for free. Pretty things make me happy and I have the right to make a list of those pretty things. So there. (Also, if you ARE planning to get me something, this list just makes it easy for you, don't it?) 

 So, what I really, really want for my birthday this year:

The Canon 1100D. The DSLR I'm currently using is borrowed from a dear, dear friend who insisted I take it to snap my photos. How I love him! But I really need to get my own cam.



Red and blue bangles. I've got many bangles in different colours except for these two.


I'd love it if it said 'You bitch' at the back.
Technically a cuff, but I'll settle.





And this I chanced upon while googling the other images. Blue Aurora Fairy Bangle. I WANT! (Way to go commercialism. Making me want things so easily.)


A trip to Paris. Alone.

The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. Not available in Bahrain. God bless this country.


Small to medium sized earrings. I realize that I've got quite the collection of big earrings and am constantly rifling through my earrings looking for smaller, daintier ones to wear with necklaces. I'd love to get the feather ones!



I want I want I waaaannnnt! I'm such a sucker for enamel painted jewelry and hearts. And butterflies. And flowers.

A full-length mirror. It's ridiculous that I'm an outfit blogger and I don't have a full-length mirror at home. (I'm expecting my parents to get me this. Mom, dad I hope you're reading this!)


A one-shouldered dress. I've been hankering after this for quite some time, but I just can't find the perfect one. 






The Samsung Galaxy Note. Perfect for my long fingers. (I have really, really long fingers)

Six inch heels. (Most of my heels are 5.5 inches) 


 
 

 
 


A 1.5 inch curling iron. My hair's naturally wavy but I'd love to curl the ends for a li'l oomph.

A simple black maxi dress. It can be worn throughout the year and can be accessorized in soooo many ways. Plus it's so comfy!


And that's all!
P.S: I got almost everything on last year's wish list. And the year before that, when I made a wish list for the first time on a sheet of paper just for fun. Wish lists work!
