Looking feminine is underrated. What's with the whole 'masculine' look? Why would I want to dress like a man??
Try this. Wear a beautiful, soft, flowy blouse with Bishop Sleeves, that has a wide neck (notice I said wide, not deep, wide is feminine, deep is slutty), nice skinny jeans, and 4 inch peep-toe sling-backs. Throw on a flashy-blingy ring, and you're all set to feel gorgeous the whole day as you sashay around.
I love Bishop sleeves. They're a long sleeve, fuller at the bottom than the top, and gathered into a cuff, or gathered with elastic. If I could constantly wear clothes which have these sleeves, I would. There's just something about them, that makes you feel SO feminine, so graceful and so elegant. Even if they mask very toned arms that can sometimes look unfeminine. Sometimes. Hey, I'm very proud of my toned arms.
Wearing these sleeves, (that's not me, btw, though I do tend to put on a sullen face like that) I feel as if I've been transported back to the Victorian era, when men would wear those gorgeous white shirts with these sleeves, and had manners and were chivalrous. But I'm wondering, isn't it high time someone renamed these sleeves? I'm seeing these sleeves everywhere, they're very popular in fashion now, you'd think the fashion pundits would call them something else. Maybe 'Princess Sleeves'. Haha! What do you think?
I agree with your statement ''What's with the whole 'masculine' look? Why would I want to dress like a man?? ''
ReplyDeleteRecently I gifted my friend a wide neck blouse with bishop sleeves to go with her skirt.
She loved it and said every time she passed by this shirt at the boutique, she'd give a second look but too hesitant to try it on. Now she can't thank enough. Certainly made my day!
