Big black boots and Gratitude

You probably know what a gratitude journal is. It's a book where you write 5-10 things you were grateful for that day, before going to sleep. I used to have one many years ago and I would list 10 things every night . It's a great exercise because it reminds you to focus on the good stuff. But it soon became tedious and believe me, some days 10 was too big a number. So I stopped.
I started it a few days ago, but with a twist. Recently I learned about keeping a gratitude journal where you only have to list two things you're grateful for. And they can be the smallest of things, like lesser traffic on the way to work or kind words someone told you. The twist is that you also have to write down ONE thing you're NOT grateful for that day, and the lesson you learnt from it. I thought this was a brilliant idea because if you're anything like me, you're constantly analyzing and overthinking what didn't go well and how you can stop yourself from doing it again. So I've been writing in my little book every night for the last few days and I must say, it's helped me reduce worrying and sort out thoughts in my head. Give it a try, might be helpful to you!

On a style note, I love how these black boots are a sharp contrast to these light blue jeans because of which the look has an equestrian feel to it. The denim jacket relaxes the look and the red bag adds a nice pop of colour while also bringing out the top's colour.
