It's a wonderful time of year. Not just because Christmas and New Year are around the corner, but because Bahrain celebrates it's National Day on Dec 16 and the whole country is lit up like the eyes of a child looking at her presents on Christmas morning. There are carnivals, markets and festivals taking place. There's so much good cheer in the air. You can't help but feel happy. All I want to do is spend time with friends, out in this gorgeous cool-but-not-cold weather; spend time with family, basking in the familiarity and warmth that only being with family can bring; and spend time with myself, curled up in bed with a book. But before all that, I'm looking forward to this Friday where I'll be meeting and spending time with so many of you at my blog anniversary party at Block 338 restaurant. I can't wait!
