You know I've said before not to wear a loose top over loose bottoms, but here I am, doing exactly that. And it works. It's probably because this top isn't that wide, and the fall of the material makes it look narrow. So it looks good over the wide pants. And the slouchiness of the top adds to the overall relaxed-casual look. But most importantly, my point is this- break the rules. You'll hear fashion magazines, style experts, even me saying don't do this, don't do that, blah blah. But take a chance. Try it out. Something that everyone says is a fashion no-no might look great on you, or you could have the build or just the personality to carry it off.
What works for one person might not for you, and vice versa. And again, as I always say, the first rule of fashion is that there are no rules. Don't let anyone convince you that something absolutely can't be worn or make you feel like an idiot for wearing it. Of course, if YOU feel like an idiot wearing it, by all means, take it off. Wear what you feel comfortable in, and what makes you feel great. If you think it looks right, it does. And of course, the same lesson applies for life. Don't let anyone convince you that you shouldn't be doing something just because that's a rule/notion/mindset they've made up for their own life. Just do your own thing. No matter who shakes their head with disdain at you.
