Midi skirts are so great. They look flattering and feminine, and they go with so many tops. Today I paired this gunmetal gray skirt with a burgundy top, and wore a jacket on top in mint, a color which contrasts beautifully with burgundy. I accessorized with a set of delicate pearls- earrings, necklace and bracelet. Pearls go with absolutely anything but with a round neck jacket and a midi skirt, they just complete the 50s retro look. I finished with chunky Mary Jane heels and a box clutch. A great ensemble for the office, as well as a night out.

In between classes, work and everything else, it's been a crazy month. I've heard from at least two people that this has been a sucky month and not a great start to the year. It hasn't been the best for me either. Maybe because it's winter, or maybe just because. Too many things have been up in the air and just out of reach. It's frustrating when you can't get things organized. Argh. But hopefully, it gets better.

What about you? How's 2016 treating you so far?

Until next time, stay happy!
