I love a strong, passionate red top and what makes this one better is the wide, billowy blouson sleeves. This top used to be plain with a pussybow in front. I refashioned it by removing the pussybow and adding a delicate gem border on the neck and cuffs. I love the definition it gives to the blouse. Such a deep red looks great with a neutral hue so I paired it with a gray midi skirt. The clean lines of the skirt also help to add structure and balance the looseness of the top. Because the top makes such a statement, I kept the accessories to a minimum. I wore green quartz{ish} earrings, a ring and a thin strapped watch. I finished with my two-toned bag and ankle-strap heels.
And I can't, can't BELIEVE we're at the end of August already. I do wish that someone would inform Mother Nature that, though. The temperatures coming down a bit would help. Although we've got a breeze and surprise, surprise, a few clouds, it's still humid as hell. And that's the worst kind of windy- when it's humid and breezy. Your hair flies off your face only to stick to your neck. Yuck.
Until next time, xoxo
