 I love maxi dresses, especially because they're light and easy to wear. I love the silkiness and shine of this material and knew it would look great in an A-line maxi dress. It's super comfortable but satin like this is super sensitive to stains, so I have to be very careful. Even water leaves a mark! One time I wore this dress to go out for dinner, and when putting make up on I leaned too close to the dressing table and stained the dress with some spilled makeup remover on the table. Argh! This time I made sure to put makeup on before I wore it. When the dress was ready I thought I'd wear it plain, but my mom suggested lace near the hem would look amazing. So we added this multicolored crochet lace and I love how it looks. I paired it with these gorgeous vintage-y tear-drop earrings, which have a pretty flower engraved on the tear-drop stone. I love how they add a classic feel. Keeping with a gold theme, I wore colorful enamel gold bangles, a golden statement watch, and gold heels, and finished with this cute box clutch from Charles & Keith that has a gold handle.

Speaking of lace, as I've mentioned in the last post and the previous one, I'll be bringing you something to do with lace, and here it is. My mother and I have started a business together, selling lace. Me and my mom have been lace lovers since ages {I fell in love with lace because of her}, and we know a lot of women who wanted the kind of lace we get for ourselves from all over the world. So we decided to make it available, at least for the ladies in Bahrain. Here are a few photos of the types of laces we have:

 I've always loved how lace can make a too-short skirt longer and more elegant, or hide a neck that's too deep, or just add a bit of interest to something plain. Which is why we also take orders for sewing lace onto clothes, and we help you match the right lace for the right clothes.
