Studded Sweater and Boots. Aka Pictures Of Me Trying To Hold My Hair Down.

Whites and creams in winter look terribly classy. Picture a gorgeous thick white scarf knotted at the base of your neck, or walking around in a big, beautiful cream-colored faux fur coat. Or this pretty studded sweater. Thankfully you don't have to picture it because I went out in the blistering wind, walked on the sand in those heels, and took pictures. 
The things I do for you! 

My self-righteous tirade aside, this sweater is deceptively warm. I was wearing a pea coat on top of it before taking the pictures but even when I removed it, I was snug. I love, love, lurrrrve the studs on the front. So festive and classy, without being fierce-rock-ey. It fits like a dream which is why I wore it with these great-fitting jeans. Because the sweater is so classy, I wore simple, elegant vintage gold jewelry with it. Long tan boots and a studded bag completed the look.

In other news, I discovered this song a day back and I'm CRAZY about it now.

  • Squeezing my mom in the tightest hug ever. 
  • Emails from old friends.
  • Listening to my current-obsession-song over and over on full volume while driving my car.
  • Spontaneously going to the movies.
  • That particular 'new' smell you get when you switch the air-con on after winter. I love it! As a child I would stand in front of the AC and just inhale. (Ok I admit I still do it.)
  • Wearing an anklet after ages.
  • Waking up with a song playing in my head for no apparent reason and then seeing the same song emailed to me by a friend because it reminded him of me. 
  • This compliment:  "Wait.. have you become younger or something?"
  • My red jeans. I swear I'm going to need a new pair pretty soon if I wear them this often!
  • This song. Love it!

I built this look from the heels up. I just really wanted to wear these monsters. So I added the jeans, top, and pulled it together with my trusty black blazer. I put on a matching (so not like me, but it's ok to not be yourself somedays) chunky bangle. I love the way the red handbag gives a nice pop of colour to the look. And because I have this song playing in my head on repeat, I've decided to put it here. (Don't you love the video?)
