Dressing By Opposites

Shirt dress: Mango, Leggings: Gap, Belt: H&M, Boots: Piazza Italia, Earrings: Gifted, Cuff bracelet: from India, Ring: New Look, Watch: Swatch
Red. Such a powerful colour. Why am I wearing it? Because I'm feeling slightly powerless. I have an 'Opposites' theory about dressing. Whenever I'm feeling less-than-awesome, I'll wear clothes that make me feel Silver-Kick-Awesome. If I'm feeling depressed or sick, I'll wear my favourite clothes and sky-high heels. And soon my spirits will start lifting.

Obviously when I'm already feeling fab, I know that I could wear a sack of potatoes and carry it off. (Although I'd never wear a sack of potatoes. I have enough people around me who do, I don't want to give them competition.)

So, if you're feeling depressed/ sick/ confused /uninspired/ miserable, why look it? If you look good, you'll feel better automatically. Anyways, it's always better to be one notch overdressed at any occasion. You come across as someone to be taken seriously. The admiring glances don't hurt either.

By the way, don't you just love this belt and ring? Got them both on the weekend on a shopping spree with a brilliantly intelligent, mature and beautiful teenager. I swear I have a girl crush on her.

  1. I would have said "OMG, I love you too, cutie pie!" but I don't want to be one of those annoying couples. LOL!

And I loooove the dress. Very feminine! And you're inspiring me to invest in belts. :-)

  2. Hahahahahha...I'm sure all the guys would love to see that!
Yes, you have to wear belts. It's a crime having a teeny tiny waist and not accentuating it. Not all girls have tiny waists y'know!
