So goes a Japanese proverb. I was reminded of it today when in the gym this girl came up to me and asked me if I'm Shabana from The Silver Kick Diaries. I said yes. She said she's been following the blog and loves it and that she's crazy about my shoe collection. It's so rare of a stranger coming up and saying something nice especially in this part of the world. And especially a girl complimenting a girl! But it made me feel so  nice and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for quite some time later. So no, I'm not telling you to compliment me more {though it woudn't hurt. Just saying.} but just compliment people. Say nice things to them. To strangers. To your loved ones. Tell them they're appreciated. Tell them you like the shoes they have on. Kind words go a long way, trust me. So thank you Melissa. You just warmed my next winter.
