Let me start off by saying that these pictures were taken when it wasn't as cold as it is now. It was when the weather was cool and pleasant, and I was able to get away with wearing a summery dress like this one. 50s style dresses like these are a huge favorite of mine, because they flatter a tall and straight frame so well. And of course, they look incredibly elegant. The only problem with this dress is that it doesn't have a lining, so I'm wearing a petticoat skirt inside the dress. If you have dresses and skirts that don't have lining, there are many petticoats available in shops in the Manama Souq for very reasonable rates. I've got them in different colors and shapes to go with different clothes.
I kept it simple in this look by accessorizing with a few colorful bangles and earrings that match my belt. A statement watch and bag make this look work appropriate {you could always throw on a blazer to make it more formal}, and I finished with metallic blue pumps. I love the lacey scallop detail on them.
In other news, I'm freezing. That's all. That's it. it's all my brain can think of right now. And also how I always love it when the blazing summer transitions to cooler temperatures, and I think I'm going to like winter this time around, but nope.
