There's just something so happy about a twirly skirt. I've been crazy about big skirts and frocks since I was a child. I loved wearing them and watching the skirt fan out in an arc as I twirled. This skirt is no different. When I'm wearing it I can't stop grabbing it and swishing it around, {as is obvious from the photos}. Pleated skirts are a firm favorite with me. They look tres glam, and can be worn with almost any top for a elegant night out look. The only reason I don't have more pleated maxi skirts is that I like skirts with big circumferences and I usually find ones that fall straight to the ground. Ugh. Boring. I bought this maxi skirt from Romwe, where I saw it and instantly fell in love with its color and sheer volume. I'm not a big one for metallic clothes, but I don't mind the sheen on this skirt as the soft blush pink tones it down. It has a lovely, big circumference and it moves enigmatically with you when you walk. Although it IS very long. I had to wear my highest heels so the hem wouldn't touch the floor. If you're petite, you'd definitely have to alter it to fit you better.
The only thing I don't like about this skirt that it doesn't have a lining. I've noticed this is the case with most of the clothes I got from Romwe, which is why I stopped buying from them. A note of caution- be very careful with the sizes when purchasing from them. Each piece of clothing has a different size, so measure yourself first, and match your measurements very carefully with the item before you buy. In this look I paired the skirt with this simple black top. The color makes for a nice contrast, while the ruffle sleeves match the skirt's elegance. I didn't want to take any attention away from the skirt with chunky accessories so I wore long and thin tribal-esque earrings, wide, filigreed rings and finished with nude heels.
