We've had a week of rain in Bahrain and I LOVED it. I took these photos on a day when it was drizzling, there were big fluffy white clouds in the sky, and to top it off, I saw a rainbow. But with the rain everything seems to look a bit gray, so I decided to inject some color into my outfit with these floral pants. They're elasticated at the waist and are made from a light, cotton material, making them VERY comfortable, and the peg leg {fashion speak for pants that are tapered just above the ankle} means that they're really practical for wet weather.
This oatmeal sweater is a recent purchase and I love the loose sleeves and the elegant fall. It's not too warm, just right for a cool day, and I reckon I'll get some use out of it in the summer months too when the air-conditioning makes it seem like winter. Because the sweater is loose, I wore it with peg leg trousers to add some structure and not make the entire silhouette too baggy. I added a bit of color to the sweater with a blown glass leaf necklace that my brother got me from Serbia. I love how it matches the print of the pants. On my hands I wore a statement watch and a statement ring with black stones to match the dark colors in the pants. Nude pumps and a red envelope clutch matched all the other bits and complete the look. This is a cheery, elegant look for the office, or for coffee with friends. Or maybe to walk around in on a rainy day.
Until next time,
xoxo
Groovy pants! :)
