Hello!

Hello!
Hi! I'm Shabana. I live in Bahrain. I'm a businesswoman by day and a fitness instructor by night. I believe that dressing up is the easiest way of loving yourself, and this blog is where I journal my outfits and my life. If you'd like to know more, click on the About Me tab on top. I hope you enjoy my blog!

My New Big Black Blazer + Ramadan

I've had a love-hate relationship with black blazers. After wearing them for years and years, I finally got sick of them and removed them from my closet. I went without a black blazer or a black formal jacket for ages, until finally I started craving one again. I realized it made a big gap in my wardrobe, because sometimes all you need is a black blazer to pull your outfit together. You could be wearing something as simple as a jeans and t-shirt and throw a black blazer over it and transform it into an effortlessly chic and cool outfit. I found this one in H&M in Amsterdam, and fell in lurve. It's big, it's inky black, and it's sharp. What else do you need from a black blazer? The material is thick but has a cotton feel to it, making it great for Bahrain and its crazy heat and humidity.

In this look I went for a classic three-piece suit outfit- button-down shirt + trousers + blazer, but I let my love for pastels shine through with a dusty rose pant and a baby blue shirt. The black of the blazer, the skinny belt and pumps add more structure and substance to an otherwise soft and feminine look.

In other news, Bahrain is gearing up for Ramadan and everyone {including me} is in a rush to get things done before it starts, because as everyone knows, the country goes into sweet slumber during the month. I'm looking forward to all the little specialties of the month, the lights, the special foods, the parties which I won't go to, the ghabgas and maybe, just maybe, a little peace and quiet for myself. But we all know that's probably not going to happen. One can only dream.

P.S: I'll be doing a post on healthy eating or Ramadan suhoor and iftar soon, watch out for that!

Do you have a favorite jacket or blazer? What color is it and why do you love it? Are you happily anticipating Ramadan or are you dreading it?

Shirt: Koton, Pants: ASOS, Blazer: H&M, Belt: Forever21, Earrings, Ring: Gifted, Shoes: from Canada

Until next time,

xoxo
