18 More Tips To Lose Weight Faster

Two years back I had posted 23 Tips On How To Lose Weight FasterUnfortunately, I haven't posted much on health and fitness recently, so here are some more tips that will help you get rid of that irritating excess flab. 
  1. Drink a lot of water before going to the supermarket. Literally, fill your stomach with water. You won't feel like buying candy bars/ chips and other junk when you're shopping.
  2. Replace sugar with jaggery and date syrup in your tea, coffee and desserts.
  3. Do a fitness class instead of on the gym floor. You'll  push yourself more during the class and you'll be more motivated to attend regularly.
  4. Reward a fitness milestone with anything but food. Earrings, lipstick, a new dress, flowers. Not cake.
  5. Take all the high energy, processed junk food from your house to your office or workplace. Keep it in the pantry there. You can't eat bad food if it's not there. {And don't eat it in the office!}
  6. When choosing ice cream go for the kiddie scoop.
  7. Increase lean protein in your meals. Lean protein means any meat like chicken, turkey, beef, mutton, which has the skin and fat stripped away from it. 
  8. Have one cheat item every week if you really crave it, so you don't binge later.
  9. Go from white to brown - replace white sugar, white rice and white bread with brown sugar, brown rice and brown bread.
  10. Eat protein with every single meal and snack. Some examples of protein: unsalted nuts, trans fat-less peanut butter, lean meats, plain yoghurt, fish, eggs, beans.
  11. Switch to dark chocolate - anything that has over 50% chocolate content.
  12. Read labels to look out for hidden sugars. Glucose, fructose, dextrose, aspartame, maltitol, sorbitol are all sugar.
  13. Avoid the low-fat, 'diet' foods. These foods usually have extra sugar or fat to make up for the taste.
  14. When in doubt, go for the full fat, rich dessert. Enjoy it and burn twice as many calories the next day in your workout. It's better than eating something low fat but calorie-laden and thinking you got off scot-free.
  15. Choose HIIT. HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training. It has been proven to be more effective at burning calories and fat. BodyCombat, one of the programs I teach, is HIIT.
  16. If it feels heavy on the tongue, it's probably high in calories and fat.
  17. Drink orange juice every time you feel like eating something sweet. 
  18. Replace cream with labneh.
