5 Hairstyles for Long Hair You'll Want to Copy Immediately

By Sophia Smith

Having long, healthy, and gorgeous hair is something most women aspire to. Amazing hair can only accentuate the natural beauty you already possess, so it’s no wonder that we all spend a lot of time taking care of our locks. In addition, long, beautiful hair is lovely on its own, but when used to create an exquisite hairdo, it looks even better and can put the focus on some of your features or makeup and jewelry that you are wearing.

For that reason, I bring you five amazing hairstyles that you and your long hair will love.

A super-high, sleek pony is a hairstyle you cannot go wrong with. It looks especially good with long and voluminous hair, but unfortunately, not all of us are blessed with an amazing mane. That is why you can use an efficient trick to achieve this and many other hairdos that require long hair. The secret is in high-quality seamless clip in hair extensions that are easy to use and can be nicely blended with your natural hair. Once you have your extensions in, simply brush through the hair and gather it in a high ponytail. Then take a thin section of the hair and braid it in an unexpected plait. This is an easy, but also a quite cool and unique hairdo that you can wear with basically any outfit.

Boho fishtail

A perfect hairdo if you are tired of wearing only classic buns and ponytails. Additionally, this kind of hairstyle is also brilliant when created with hair extensions, as it will give your hair extra thickness, which will result in a more lavish fishtail. Although it may seem that it is complicated to make this kind of braid, this really isn’t true, as all you need is a bit of patience and practice. Once your braid is done, you can opt to wear it sleek or in a more messy style. Let the front locks fall freely, and even backcomb some sections of your hair. This will be an ideal hair look for a night out, and if you want to make it a bit more bohemian, try inserting colorful flowers into the fishtail. Go for smaller, subtle flowers or a few bold ones. In any case, it is certain that you will look lovely and fresh with this kind of hairdo.

Curls and ribbons

If you have naturally curly or wavy hair, this hairdo will be ideal for you. In case your hair is straighter, simply apply a heat protecting spray and use a curling wand. Then run through the hair with your fingers and put the upper part of your hair in a half ponytail. In case you don’t have bangs, take the front pieces of the hair out of the pony and let them frame your face. Apply hairspray to make sure the hairdo stays in place for as long as possible and move on to the final step, which is the part when you pick out and tie the hair ribbon. You can go for a classy black, velvet one or opt for a bit more colorful ribbon or bow. Silk or satin ones will be perfect for when you are about to attend a friend’s wedding, while a subtle, navy or red bow will look smart and work-appropriate.

Wrapped ponytail

A stylish and trendy hairstyle that will be ideal for when you in a hurry. First of all, you will have to put your hair in a sleek, low ponytail. Then you can choose whether you will go for type 1 or type 2 of this hairstyle. Type 1 simply requires you to take your favorite silk scarf or a bandana and wrap it around the elastic. The second version of this hairstyle requires you to wrap the scarf around 2/3 of the length of the pony. In this case, you can use bobby pins to make sure that the scarf stays in place and your unique hair look doesn’t get ruined throughout the day.

Sided waves and bobby pins

If you want to flaunt your long, shiny hair, but also want a trendy hairstyle, then this one is for you. Add a few soft curls to the hair and brush them through. Then simply part the hair to one side and make sure that the parting is quite sleek. Now you can take a dozen bobby pins and attach them on the side that has less hair. You can’t really go overboard with the number of bobby pins, as you want them to be visible and striking. A modish hairdo is amazing for when you are about to attend a party.

Finally, don’t be shy, and give these lovely hairstyles a go. They are both easy to make and wonderful to be worn.
